Are you looking for a career in Health Care? During a recession, there are very few occupations that actually maintain or even grow jobs and health care typically holds up strong when the ecomony slows down.

There are many different jobs in the Health Care profession. A common one that is very much sought after is that of a pharmacist. As a pharmacist you would be required to dispense medication and other pharmaceuticals in accordance with all of the Texas and Federal Laws. Of course, you need to go to pharmacy school, but once you come out and find a job - typically at a Walgreens or other drug store, then you’ve got a great and lucrative job. As a pharmacist you would have to be able to interact with other doctors, technicians, nurses and plenty of customers.

There are also great Health Care sales jobs. Many drug companies need sales people to call on doctors to let the doctos know about the latest drugs being offered. If you have a heart condition, high blood pressure or another serious ailment, it’s important that your doctor knows all about the different options that can help save your life. As a sales rep, you will visit many local hospitals and waiting rooms and it requires patience to get that precious few minutes with very busy general practitioners.

Many hospitals are hiring facilities workers and managers. There is so much infrastructure involved with a hospital that just keeping it painted, heated and wired is a full time job for a sizable staff. If you used to work in a construction field, it’s a good idea to consider applying to a hospital for a maintenance job as they pay well and have very steady hours. There are many management positions available as well to help oversee hospital workers and make sure everything stays running smoothly.
